Due to the current trauma over the recent Presidential election, I felt led to explain the conservative position, as I see it.

I believe that what Democrats and liberal Americans haven’t understood, and refused to accept, has finally blown up in their faces. The truth is, a great majority of Americans remain conservative in their beliefs. We oppose oppression, just as any other group would. We have had our “rights” trampled on repeatedly by having the “politically correct” view shoved down our throats. The election results were no accident. The moral majority has spoken.

I VOTED REPUBLICAN

Personally, from the first election that I was privileged to vote in, I considered it an honor and a responsibility. Although I have always been considered fairly rebellious in my thinking, I have always voted Republican. My belief system has always leaned toward the conservative. I believe there is a right and a wrong. I believe in the Constitution, Freedom of Religion and Speech (even politically incorrect speech), the Right to Bear Arms, and that the Separation of Church and State was enacted to keep the government out of the church, not God out of the government.

So, I and others like me, voted Republican, seeking representatives that lean toward our views. Knowingly, we’ve been voting for what we saw as the lesser of two evils for many years. I have never considered voting for an Independent, only because I see it as a wasted vote. History proves that the two major parties have had a hold on the US government. When that changes, I’ll do some research into other candidates.

In 2014, with Obama attempting to transform the US into a socialist nation, we voted in an overwhelming group of Republicans, all shouting their intent to take down the dictator. We fell for their promises to defund Obamacare. They promised to tighten the reigns on the runaway government in Washington. We bought in and the Republicans experienced a landslide. We, the conservative majority, were fired up and hopeful. We wanted the Obamacare train wreck repealed. It has been an unconstitutional catastrophe from day one. The mandates infringe on religious freedoms and are destroying small business. The law has forced many businesses to lay off full-time employees and some to shut their doors. The one thing The Affordable Care Act is NOT, is affordable.

We wanted someone to represent our views. It only took a short time after that election to realize, the Republican majority were quickly bought off. Immediately, all we saw were “politicians.” Both parties proved their greed and corruption and we, the conservatives, were left with no voice once again. The Republicans were truly the worse of the two, because they were so vocal about their intentions, and fell from them so quickly. They betrayed us.

So the issues I and so many others cared about were on the same track, as if the entire government were liberal, due to conservative speaking sell outs. In our eyes, the country we love was on the fast track to destruction.

BECOMING A CONSERVATIVE

Strong patriots have played a large part in my life. I was raised by a very patriotic WWII veteran, my dad. A good friend of mine joined the Marines when I was in high school and spent over 20 years in the service. After high school, I moved to California and spent about a year surrounded by, and working with, Marines; just after the Beirut bombing. In my adult life, I spent most of my time with a bunch of bikers; the majority of whom were veterans. Through these experiences, and several Memorial Day trips to Washington, DC for the Veteran’s Rolling Thunder Rally, I have become a strong supporter of our troops. Our government has been trampling the rights of our troops for years; our veterans are receiving less and less care, and the US is a more volatile, dangerous place than ever before.

On immigration: My mother was a first generation American. My grandparents “legally” immigrated from eastern Europe. I am grateful for the sacrifices they made to get here. I understand the desire for a better life. I also believe in enforcing the law. The Constitution is in place to protect us, the American citizens, and our guests. It was never meant to protect those here illegally. Intruders who sneak into any other country on the planet are dealt with severely, due to the threat they pose to legal citizens. Illegal aliens are a burden to any economy. They handouts offered to these immigrants are ploys for illegal votes for the Democratic party, funded by my American tax dollars.

In regards to women’s rights: As a woman, I believe that a child in my womb has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; this trumps my right to convenience. Every person, male or female, planned or unplanned, convenient or inconvenient, shares these inalienable rights. I’ve had dozens of friends over the years that have chosen abortion. Most expressed their regret openly. I don’t believe these women should be condemned any more than I believe that an unexpected child should be condemned to death. The “inalienable right to life, . . .”

Off topic a bit: let me also add that the phrase “Women’s Issues” is degrading. All issues are Women’s and Men’s Issues alike. I am equally as concerned about the economy; being overrun with dangerous refugees; open borders; and the like. I believe male Americans should be just as concerned about the slaughter of their sons, daughters, nieces, nephews and grandchildren, through abortion. There are no “gender specific” issues.

Gay Rights: Moving on let me state frankly, disagreeing with you or your lifestyle is not hate. Disagreement is not a phobia. You have a right to live as you wish, but no one has the right to shove their beliefs down the throat of another. I should not be “forced” to take part in the lifestyle you’ve chosen, any more than you should be dragged to church with me. No business person should be forced to choose between their beliefs and their right to continue in business. If Christians are not targeted, why isn’t anyone trying to get a gay wedding cake from a Muslim bakery? When addressing gender specific bathrooms: statistically, transgender men have been using ladies’ rooms across the country for years. They go unnoticed, closing the stall door and taking care of their business. They are not the issue. Shoving your lifestyle down our throats with an “accept it or I’ll sue” attitude is the issue.

On to handouts: In my opinion (and I do get to have one), our current welfare system creates the poor and dependent. I believe in helping the poor, not codependence. President Roosevelt expanded the country’s small welfare system in 1935, after the Depression. To receive government aid, men (the workers of the day), were put to work. Some dug ditches on Monday for pay, while a second group filled in the ditches on Tuesday. It was a positive system to create jobs. When the necessity to work for the assistance ended, the government created a codependent system of handouts. It is now to the point of punishing people for attempting to help themselves, through employment. Welfare is nothing more than an effort to control the population and create dependent voters, not help anyone to a better life.

In the matter of national security: let’s be logical, which is now the opposite of politically correct. Statistically speaking, there is one group that has claimed responsibility for all terrorist attacks we’ve experienced in my lifetime. But if I voice those “statistics”, I am a racist, and I have a phobia. My views in this matter are based on fact and fact alone. If anyone is to blame for racial profiling, it is the perpetrators themselves. And, just an FYI, when someone is yelling, “allahu akbar,’ before they shoot up a crowd, Islam is involved.

PRAYING FOR A MIRACLE

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Due to the issues I’ve explained, nearing 2016’s election with heavy hearts, we conservative, God-fearing, Americans prayed for a miracle. We prayed for the Lord to give us an option. Obviously, any Clinton, socialist or liberal was not an option. In regards to Hillary Clinton, besides proven lies, leaving our Ambassador and others to die while crying out for protection, proven voter fraud (even against her own rival Sanders), and endangering the nation’s security, she clearly broke Constitutional law by receiving donations from foreign governments. The private e-mail server was only proof of someone with something to hide.

Article I, Section 9, Clause 8
No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

ALONG COMES TRUMP

So, while we were praying, along comes Donald Trump. We knew him. He was loud and brash, but equally tired of the Washington machine and the direction of the country. He spoke politically incorrect fluently and without apology. He was shouting what we’d been saying for years. He was fed up. He was running on the Republican ticket, but clearly wasn’t one of them. Trump stated clearly his opinion, that Washington, DC was a swamp, a cesspool of corruption and greed.

“The Donald” wasn’t a politician. He was a successful business man. He expressed his anger at the illogical handling of the issues we were angry about. He agreed with us that the economy and military were both weaker than ever before, but were being spun by the biased, liberal press. He agreed that the laws of the land should be enforced, regardless of whether they pass the “politically correct” test. He was outraged that refugees and welfare recipients received more concern than our veterans and senior citizens. He came against the idea that the First Amendment right to free speech was kept sacred only for the liberal view. He saw that religious freedom was no longer afforded to Christians. He vocalized that the Constitution, along with the Second Amendment, were under attack. He spoke what we were all thinking, that the conservatives were being oppressed by the liberal agenda, with no one in power to speak for us.

The Republican cronies further revealed themselves as scum, when they came against him. By so doing, they exposed their desire to continue in corruption, even with Clinton in charge, the wicked witch of the handout. Their reaction was very revealing and pushed Trump closer to the top, in our eyes.

Donald Trump clearly communicated that he was convicted to run for President. Not that he dreamed about it from childhood. Not that he obsessed for power, fame and money. He had those things. He expressed his contempt for the current American leadership, their agenda and the direction we as Americans were being shoved. In essence, he thought like we did. He was one of us; not a middle class American, but most importantly, not a politician.

THE ELECTION

So we, the conservatives, came out in droves and voted. Many who had given up on the process, came out to vote. It was a long shot, but it was a shot. And we won!!! Personally, I have never been so relieved in all my life.

The liberals were, and remain, dumbfounded. The shock waves also continue throughout the Republican party. They didn’t even realize that we still existed or that our opinions mattered. In shock, the liberal media hesitated to report that our new President would not be “one of them.” He would not agree to shove their agenda down our throats. He would not agree to prioritize foreign law breakers and terrorists over citizens, especially veterans and seniors. He would not speak “politically correctly,” but factually. They lost control.

With the shock is wearing off, the media has attempted to get us to hate him. They have twisted words and stories, as is their norm, to imply that he would not live up to his promises, as no one ever had before him. They couldn’t believe his integrity, or the fact that he got elected completely because of what he promised. The liberals still can’t believe that what he promised is exactly what we want. They continue to attempt to portray him as just another politician. But their fabrications have already proven false.

Currently, the rage is about his cabinet choices. Calling them “a bunch of old white men”, another falsehood. What they don’t understand is: we don’t care about the race or gender of those he appoints. We care about America. The nation we love and want to progress, not change. We want restoration. A return to the values that built this country, and a return to honoring those who defend and protect us. Essentially, we are pro-life, pro-family, pro “legal” immigration and closed borders, anti-terrorist, and pro personal responsibility. We are pro freedom. Free to live, without being forced to undermine our beliefs for the beliefs, called “rights”, of another.

Even with all the election fraud that was discovered, the minority, the liberals, still lost. They lost control and their agenda to turn America into a socialist state has failed. “We the people” won.

We continue to win as our incoming President appoints men and women, of various races, who believe as we do: that American law must be enforced without concern for the feelings of the law breakers; that citizens must be our priority; that Freedom of Speech applies to politically incorrect speech; that ALL lives matter, regardless of race, gender, occupation (including the police) or location (in or out of a mother’s womb); that the spin mongers in the media must be dealt with (Trump is just bypassing them); that our military be allowed to fight all enemies with full strength; that our budget must be approached as that of a business entity and balanced; and that our government and its officials be reined in and controlled by the people, once again.

MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN

America is already, and has always been, the greatest nation on earth. That’s what this election has proven. America will now be restored through God’s mercy on us.

I no longer consider myself a Republican. We prayed and the God of restoration answered. Our party, the conservative majority, is in control, with a very unlikely, imperfect leader at the helm. My hope for the future, along with many others who share my views, has been restored.

Halleluiah! The swamp is being drained.
